WasteMAP is collecting images and information on global landfills and dumpsites from concerned citizens. You can contribute by sending photos and other important details. After review, the WasteMAP team will add these sites to our database. Not all solid waste disposal sites are known or tracked. By contributing, you can play an important role in the estimation and mitigation of waste methane emissions.
Share your photos
When submitting photos, please include your name, the name of the location pictured, and any other important information or attribution details. Most photos taken with mobile phones include location coordinates and the date the photo was taken. Photos and other site information can be sent to wastemap@rmi.org.
