WasteMAP Citizen Engagement. The Waste Methane Assessment Platform, or WasteMAP, was created by RMI and the Clean Air Task Force, with funding from the Global Methane Hub, to highlight waste methane emissions, mitigation opportunities, and best practices to reduce solid waste methane emissions.

When submitting photos, please include your name, the name of the location pictured, and any other important information or attribution details. Most photos taken with mobile phones include location coordinates and the date the photo was taken. Photos and other site information can be sent to <a href="mailto:wastemap@rmi.org" target=”_blank">wastemap@rmi.org</a>.

By submitting photos you confirm that you have the right to do so, and you grant WasteMAP the rights to publish them on this map.

By contributing, you can play an important role in the estimation and mitigation of waste methane emissions.
