The data powering WasteMAP comes from the UNFCCC, EDGAR, World Bank, UN Habitat, Climate TRACE, and other sources. You can see the full list on the data & methodology page.

We are continually incorporating new sources and welcome your contribution of datasets of all sizes. If you work in academia, government, non-profit, civil society, or waste management, and have public datasets that might make WasteMAP a more comprehensive resource, please let us know!
